## Our Principles ## Our Principles
Cabal and its members are generally willing to defend many things considered unethical by some authorities, particularly where the reason for such persecution is purely ideological due to subversive forces. Free-speech environments like Cabal emerge from a demand for open dissent against unjust authority, and participants are assumed willing to defend actions they take in such dissent.
We do not, however, expect to have to suffer legal consequences by association with those pursued for acts we would deem reprehensible. This does not, however, imply unlimited willingness to associate with *any* given disfavoured position or speaker.
Naturally, we do not wish to associate with such people at all. We reject association with the evils this policy covers, for moral and ethical reasons, as well as for our own protection.
