# Grooming
*Most cases of grooming of children would be covered under the [Serious Crimes](/Rules/Serious%20Crimes.html) rule. That rule takes precedence over this one where they overlap.*

Manipulating a [vulnerable person](#vulnerable-person) towards self-harm or sex acts, where deemed to have been done with knowledge of the target's vulnerable state, or with [ambition or disregard](#ambition-or-disregard) that the target is underaged, and where deemed likely to be a pattern of activity, is prohibited.

⚠️ **Terminal**: Violators are subject to reprimand without warning.  
⚠️ **Info-Hazard**: Violating material is subject to deletion at any time.  
⚠️ **External**: May apply to activity outside of Cabal.

## Terms
### Vulnerable Person
A person under the age of 18, or a person with severe and visible mental instability such as suicidal ideation, strong violent impulses, or a trauma-induced vulnerability to further abuse.

### Ambition or Disregard
Even if it is not known that the target is a child, the perpetrator may have been acting on the suspicion that they were. **This should not be applied to cases of innocently-mistaken age**, but only where deemed to have been pursued through such belief, maliciously or callously.
